Terms & Conditions

1. About Bracton

Bracton is operated by Blackwell Advisory Ltd (Company No. 17067535), Advantage House, Stowe Court, WS13 6AQ, United Kingdom. Contact: support@bracton.org.

2. Service description and legal status

Bracton provides digital legal document templates and workflow tools. Bracton is not a regulated law firm and does not provide legal advice. Your use of the platform does not create a solicitor-client relationship.

3. Account and user responsibilities

You must be at least 18 and use Bracton lawfully. You are responsible for account credentials and for ensuring data submitted to the platform is accurate and complete.

4. Commercial plans and billing

Bracton offers:

• One-time document unlock: £49 per purchase (non-recurring).

• Subscription access: £29 per month (recurring).

Pricing, taxes (if applicable), and billing frequency are shown at checkout.

5. Subscription renewals and cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically each monthly billing cycle until cancelled. You authorise recurring charges using your selected payment method.

You can cancel renewal at any time through the billing portal or by contacting support. Cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the then-current paid period.

After cancellation takes effect, subscription-only access and entitlements end. Documents already generated and made available to you remain subject to these Terms.

6. Digital content supply and cooling-off rights

Bracton supplies digital content immediately after purchase where requested. By completing checkout for immediate access, you expressly request immediate supply and acknowledge that, under UK consumer law, your 14-day cancellation right may be lost once digital content supply begins.

7. Refunds and billing disputes

Refund eligibility is governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy. Subscription customers are entitled to a 14-day money-back guarantee on the first subscription payment as described in that policy. Instant digital content supplied on request is otherwise non-refundable once access has been granted, except where required by law.

You agree to contact Bracton first at support@bracton.org for billing issues so we can investigate and resolve disputes promptly.

8. Intellectual property and licence

Bracton and its licensors retain all intellectual property rights in the platform, templates, and related materials. Subject to payment and compliance with these Terms, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for your internal lawful use.

9. Prohibited use

You must not misuse the service, including unauthorised copying, scraping, reverse engineering, resale, unlawful processing, or attempts to circumvent technical or access controls.

10. Availability and changes

We may update, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service to maintain security, compliance, or operational performance.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bracton excludes liability for indirect, consequential, special, punitive, or loss-of-profit damages. Bracton's total aggregate liability arising out of or connected with the service is limited to the total amounts paid by you to Bracton in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to liability.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights to bring claims in their home jurisdiction where applicable.
